I like him. Who the fuck is he?
- me during shower time: What is my mission here on earth? What would have happened if Hitler got killed before he started the war? What if is there's a bigger force controlling us right now?
- me almost falling asleep: I think I've solved the mystery of Atlantis and the cure for cancer and starvation in Africa and the problems for all bad things in the universe
- me during the day: lol how do I spell house?

Viggo’s voice was always so sexy and oddly soothing at this part, even though he was describing this terrible evil.

The tumbling of a Scribbling Face: Standing Up to Tumblr Teachers: Defending Unschooling in Highschool.
Tumblr is roaring over my new blog “How to Drop out of Highschool”. The education sect is furious- teachers, professional educators and tumblr editors are screaming over my objective.
This post will focus on the three main objections I’ve watched…
My problem with homeschooling is that, for people like me, who are extremely introverted and take months to open up even a little to anyone (and this is the IMPROVED me, I was way worse during my school days), the lack of competitiveness and company that school naturally provides, is disastrous. If I were homeschooled, I *might* have passed with flying colours but I wouldn’t have a single friend and I would be extremely terrified to even speak to people in university. Heck, I dread it now anyway, just imagine how worse it would be without the socializing skills school gave me.
Actually, my observation and experience have shown the opposite to be true. The nature of a school environment can be very overwhelming to those who are shy or anxious in social situations, and can cause a lot of kids to really shut down or just become sick with anxiety. I’m really glad that you feel you benefited from going to school, and that it actually helped you to make friends, but that’s not often the case.
Also consider the very important fact that being homeschooled (or otherwise educated outside of school) does NOT mean a person lacks for socialization! As a kid I always loved groups, I loved having lots of friends and hanging out with many people at once, and I got plenty of opportunity to do just that. I was a part of Girl Guides, outdoors clubs, homeschooling co-ops, cadets; I attended camps and day camps and played in a band; I went on all sorts of trips with other homeschooled kids, always got my fill of group games and activities, and generally had the best time socializing!
School is not the only environment in which a person can be socialized, and I definitely feel that it’s not the healthiest, safest, or most inspiring one.
Also, when you’re not in school, ‘passing with flying colours’ isn’t about grades or arbitrary marks, it’s about general success and happiness in life.
As I said earlier, we have an entirely different educational system, so in the end, we’re not talking about the same thing. :)
